The TRANS AFRICAN ROAD RALLY of The African Cultural Exchange
Proposal: The African Cultural Exchange proposes to sponsor a goodwill trans-African road race and fundraiser to highlight the need for peaceful and harmonious coexistence in Africa and to promote tourism and development to the region.
Co-sponsors: The proposed sponsors of the project will be the Ministries of Tourism of each of The TARR nations, the United Nations Office of Humanitarian Affairs and the automobile companies of the world. Sports car clubs (The Sports Car Clubs of America, sports car clubs of Europe, Africa, Australia, etc.), donor organizations, humanitarian and other non-governmental organizations, and interested individuals are all invited to participate.
Activity: To travel by motor vehicle across the heart of Africa from Francophone Dakar, Senegal in West Africa to Mombasa, Kenya in the east, passing through 17 countries with 19 check-points.
The race will start at Dakar, Senegal on the first Saturday of December each year and will pass through each of the nations as follows with checkpoints in each of the places listed below:

In General
1. Drivers must obey all road rules and follow standard safety precautions including the use of seatbelts.
2. May or may not take on passengers/guides at various points along the route.
Vehicle specifications-vehicles may be stock or modified and will come from one of four categories
Entry Fee will be $5000 for the first 100 participants and then $10,000 for each subsequent participant
Prizes will be awarded in each of the four categories
